ABSTRACT

This study was aimed to discover the knowledge of urination formula-syndrome in theTreatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseasebased on the Sunshine diagram of multi-layer complex concept network express. A total of 39 items about urination formula-syndrome in theTreatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseasewere collected, and then regulated into standard expression. The database was established and the multi-layer complex concept network express was constructed. The Sunshine diagram was drawn and the connotation rules on urination formula-syndrome in theTreatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseasewere summarized through mode development of the diagram. The results showed that the Sunshine diagram collected 44 objects (i.e., formulas) and 191 properties (i.e. syndromes), which expressed the urination formula-syndrome visually. It was concluded that the application of Sunshine diagram in the formula-syndrome knowledge based on multi-layer complex concept network express provided certain references on the inheritance and development of classics in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

ABSTRACT

This study was aimed to analyze the regulation of syndrome-treatment pattern of classical Chinese medici-nal formulae for emotional diseases based on formal concept analysis. First, we dealt with the decision formal context of 51 prescriptions about emotional symptom in the Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases and the Es-sentials from the Golden Cabinet based on the principle of optimization. Then, we generated a new partial-order at-tribute diagram in order to present the specific character. Finally, we explained properties of partial-order structure graph from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) experts' point of view based on knowledge discovery. The results indi-cated the relationship between prescription and syndrome of emotional diseases. It was concluded that method pro-posed in this paper worked well in treatment of description of syndrome differentiation and discovery of new knowl-edge from the known data in the clinical diagnosis.

ABSTRACT

Based on formal concept analysis theory, formal context of formulae, herbs and their relationship was cre-ated in this article first. Then, the created formal context would be divided and optimized according to classification method in Shang Han Lun Lei Fang written by Xu Lingtai, such as Guizhi Tang category, Chaihu Tang category, Xiexin Tang category, and etc. Multilayer complex concept network was used in the description of the universality and particularity of things. The multilayer complex concept network figure of key-formula-classified formulae was completed on the subgroup structure and visualized express of formulae, herbs and their relationship in the Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Disease. This is a new attempt of integrated information technology with diseases harmed by cold in traditional Chinese medicine. It will bring great benefit in relearning traditional classification methods and promoting inheritance and innovation of study on the Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Disease.

ABSTRACT

Diamicron group. Conclusion Modified Taohe Chengqi Decoction and its diferent extractions maybe effective on raising or stabilizing the activity of Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-ATPase in cadiocyte of diabetic rats, so it could prevent myocardium hypertrophy and patho-change by heart function failure in variably extent. Ethyl-acetate group and n-butyl alcohol group showed rather good effect among these extractions.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of modified Taohe Chengqi Decoction(TCD)and its separated prescriptions on tissue plasminogen activator(tPA)and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1(PAI-1)content in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC)with diabetic damage. Methods Purified HUVEC were divided into 10 groups: normal group, model group, rosiglitazone group,high-,middle-and low-dose modified TCD groups,blood-activating prescription group,heat-clearing and purgation prescription group,Qi-strengthening and yin-nourishing group, and TCD group. The serum containing herbal medicine was prepared through seropharmacological method, and was used for co-culture of HUVEC with high glucose and high insulin in vitro. The tPA and PAI contents in the HUVEC culture of different groups were detected. Results The content of tPA was increased in blood-activating prescription group and rosiglitazone group(P0.05).The PAI-1 content in the model group was higher than that in the normal group(P0.05).Conclusion The effect of modified TCD on improving the function of endothelial cells is probably related to the regulatory effect of blood-activating,heat-clearing and purgation herbs on PAI-1.
